Diabetes Kickstart video series is now available in Spanish—Diabetes: un buen comienzo! The series was created to reach people living with diabetes and encourage referrals to and participation in diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES).
DSMES services teach skills and strategies to help people manage their diabetes effectively. But uptake of DSMES is an enormous problem: fewer than 7% of people with diabetes participate in the first year after diagnosis. Diabetes Kickstart can help our key audiences learn the basics of self-care and the importance of DSMES.
